About Dr. Murti Patel

Advanced Cardiology with Compassionate Care

As a board-certified cardiologist in Atlanta, my practice focuses on noninvasive cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, women’s heart health, cardio-oncology, and cardiovascular disease prevention. Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, with additional certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography, I provide comprehensive, imaging-driven care tailored to each patient's needs.

My cardiovascular fellowship training was completed at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), a nationally recognized academic institution. I earned my medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where I received the Joyce Olutade Student Clinician Award for excellence in patient care, and completed my residency in Internal Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for both women and men, yet many conditions can be lowered in risk, detected earlier, or managed more effectively. My care philosophy emphasizes early detection, evidence-based prevention, and advanced imaging, paired with clear communication and compassionate guidance so patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their heart health decisions.

My research has focused on
cancer therapy–related heart disease, intracardiac thrombus, and valvular heart disease, with national presentations at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA)This academic foundation helps me incorporate current evidence and guideline-based care into everyday patient care.

Heart Heath Matters.
